Adventures in reupholstery – We bought a fixer upper house along the Ohio river to serve as a weekend getaway and salvaged a table and chair set for the dining room. A few chairs were fine, but most had large rips in the fabric. Every time we visit the river house, I tackle a chair or two, and I finally finished the last one!

First year of grad school complete! – The end of spring marks the end of my first year in an Educational Leadership doctoral program! Two more years to go, and my dissertation topic is slowly forming. I plan to study perceptions of political polarization within hire ed, and the timing is oddly perfect. If you’re interested in this topic, visit my X profile. If you’re not interested in this topic, definitely don’t visit my X profile, but follow me on Mastodon for non-political shenanigans.
All systems are go! – There are too many active work projects to capture here, but all center around reassessing support and teaching structures of the college. I’m excited to explore opportunities to embrace new technology to enhance student success and have gained so much experience leading larger technology pilots.
The summer slowdown provides a great opportunity to brainstorm for the upcoming year. I spent a few days in Canada with other co-op directors to share best practices, and I always leave these sessions feeling eager and energized.
